Tartiflette: All the Cheese!

While I was away skiing like a crazy thing, we had to fend for ourselves, and that involved cooking. We went out for dinner one night for the cheesiest of pizzas and cheesiest of fondues, but we couldn't go without a Savoie speciality: Tartiflette. So I took the challenge upon myself to make one (from scratch with no recipe but now I can share my very easy recipe with you!)

My Third Year Abroad in Cannes - Looking Back on Life!

To quote one of my favourite films, Grease (note to self, I haven't seen this recently enough - find DVD when home!):
"... is this the end?"
"Of course not; it's only the beginning."

I have now spent a year and a week exactly in Cannes, with about a total of a week in days spent in the UK, and when I wasn't on the Riviera I was skiing, and now it's time to say goodbye.
I can't believe that so much has happened in a year. There have been highs and lows, ups and downs, but I wouldn't change any of it.

Pool Party in Cannes - Hotel 3.14 Rooftop!

Something I have seen and heard about quite a bit this summer in Cannes is the Hotel 3.14 Pool Party. It often flashes up on my Facebook and I always catch a glance of the 3.14 private beach along the Croisette. I also like their website - it has a gnome in a plane that flies about on the corner of the screen, it's cute!

Post Numéro 1!

Recently turned 21, I am approaching the end of my third year abroad in Cannes, France. In September I fly back to the UK and leave the French Riviera to return to my fourth and final year at the University of Nottingham. Which I am slightly excited about, but think I will definitely miss the sun and sea here! I mean, who wants to return to rainy Britain? (And cold, especially when the daily temperature here is around 30°C). Onwards and upwards though! I still have a couple of weeks to enjoy Cannes life, and I have my 21st birthday present to return to at home. My Raspberry Ice KitchenAid - possibly one of the most exciting presents I can remember receiving! It's pink, it's baking, it's me summed up!
